- 2020-04-11 · My New Favourite Laptop - MacBook Air 2020 Review — Ali says the Microsoft Surface, the Dell XPS and many other Windows laptops at the MacBook Air's price point are very good as well. — 00:02:23
- 2020-04-11 · My New Favourite Laptop - MacBook Air 2020 Review — recommendation: Ali: If you cannot afford £1,200, Ali suggests a cheaper Windows laptop that does basically the same; a MacBook Air is for those who like macOS and have other Apple devices. — 00:11:09
- 2020-04-17 · Answering your Questions — recommendation: Ali's biggest micro-efficiency is avoiding the mouse and navigating with keyboard shortcuts; on a Mac the app Alfred makes it easy, there are Windows alternatives, and the seconds saved add up to hours. — 00:09:20
- 2020-05-15 · Apple Fanboy Reacts to Microsoft Surface Go 2 — Ali finds the Surface Go 2's trackpad a bit poor: it feels like a Windows trackpad rather than a Mac or iPad Pro one. — 00:02:46
- 2020-05-15 · Apple Fanboy Reacts to Microsoft Surface Go 2 — Ali: The first thing Ali gets on logging into Windows on the Surface Go 2 is an error message about his account, which he says you just don't see with Apple products. — 00:02:46
- 2020-05-15 · Apple Fanboy Reacts to Microsoft Surface Go 2 — Ali: To install Notion, Ali has to switch the Surface Go 2 out of Windows 10 in S mode, which runs only Microsoft-verified apps. — 00:06:44
- 2020-08-18 · How I Type REALLY Fast (156 Words per Minute) — recommendation: Ali: To fix a typo Ali uses Option and Backspace on a Mac, or Control and Backspace on Windows, to delete a whole word instead of pressing Backspace repeatedly. — 00:03:38
- 2020-11-20 · My New Daily Driver - M1 Macbook Pro (2020) Review — Ali calls the MacBook trackpad best in class: some Windows laptops have really good trackpads now, but he is so used to the MacBook trackpad's feel, the same on the M1 MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air and his 2018 MacBook Pro. — 00:09:56

- 2019-07-26 · How I Manage my Time as a Doctor + YouTuber - 9 Time Management Tips — recommendation: Ali's most important time-management tool is Alfred, a Mac app that lets you do anything with the keyboard: Command-Space and "saf" opens Safari instead of a three-second trip to the dock. — 00:07:36
- 2019-07-26 · How I Manage my Time as a Doctor + YouTuber - 9 Time Management Tips — recommendation: Ali: Navigating your computer with the mouse wastes a lot of time, Ali says: use Alfred, Spotlight Search or the Windows key and type, since keyboard shortcuts are much quicker. — 00:08:54
- 2019-10-14 · Do students need an iPad or a MacBook? — Ali: An iPad is inherently less efficient than a laptop at the same tasks: Mac and Windows have system-wide search utilities such as Alfred or the Windows logo key, which are harder to match on an iPad. — 00:01:07

- 2018-05-29 · Live Stream - Hangout — Ali was anti-Apple until he could afford it, seeing no point in a £1,500 MacBook when Windows gave the same specs for under half; after his mother gave him a MacBook Air at university, he found its user experience worth the price, at least when Windows was not that good, and premium Apple products worth it for him. — 00:24:39
- 2018-06-02 · How I take notes on my iPad Pro in medical school - Cambridge University medical student — recommendation: Ali calls Notability the best note-taking app for the iPad if your laptop or desktop is a Mac; it is not available on Windows, so Windows users should use something like OneNote. — 00:04:19
- 2018-10-10 · iPad vs Macbook for Students - Can a tablet replace your laptop? — Ali: For essays and long assignments with references, finding good reference software and integrating it with a word processor is much more of a pain on the iPad than on a MacBook or a Windows laptop, Ali says. — 00:04:14
